Javier E. Villegas

Physicist at CNRS-Thales Lab, France

I am a condensed matter experimentalist. My research focuses on superconductivity, with incursions into magnetism, complex oxides and nanotechnology.

I currently hold a permanent position at the Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS/Thales, associated to the Université Paris-Sud (France). Here I lead a research line on artificially nanostructured superconductors and superconducting hybrids.

I was formerly an adjunct professor at the University Complutense of Madrid (Spain) and a postdoctoral fellow at I. K. Schuller’s group at the University of California-San Diego (USA).
